Enjoyed that – image contrast between trees against bright skies is always a problem – I think you made the best that you could of it…. the HD quality made the difference. Good job!

May 2019 – spring gets ready to hand over to summer with longer warmer days & many pests emerging to take advantage. Rabbits are causing much damage for a farmer, both in the meadow and amongst the crops. No birds in the sights this month as the government dithers with the general licence fiasco in the UK & our farmers pay the penalty.

A new permission this month with challenges to meet for the farmer in his cattle barns & freshly sown corn fields.

The best time for summer wood pigeon decoying is upon us… another reasonable morning yesterday with a tally of thirteen.
Coming up in the Air Hunter August video diary – a look at how I set up a decoying hide, a quick cheap & very tasty recipe for rabbit or pigeon liver, & plenty of hunting footage.

Continuing scorching weather with temperatures to 30 degrees & no rainfall for 7 weeks parches the usual wood pigeon grazing areas, so different tactics are required. Seeking out trees under new flight lines and ambushing from hides provides the answer.
